Highest Stat Meta
« on: August 04, 2013, 03:10:20 pm »
Highest Stat Meta (accepted by Wolverine)

Rules:
All Pokemon must share their highest Stat (HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, Speed)

For example: Excadrill and Tyranitar. Their highest stats are attack. Similarly, Snorlax, Chansey and Vaporeon. Their highest stats are HP.
This does not mean however you always need to use said stat in your EV spread. That is up to you. Landorus, for example, can run a special set in an attack team.

No Boosting Items which always work, so basically increase a Stat those are:
Choice Band
Choice Specs
Choice Scarf
Life Orb

So allowed Items:
Expert Belt? (not for sure yet)
Elemental Gems
Flame/Toxic Orb
Leftovers
Focus Sash
ETC.

If the highest stats are equal, you can use any you want, so Jirachi and co. can be on any team.

Banlist (for OU play):
Arceus
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Mewtwo
Ho-Oh
Lugia
Zekrom
Reshiram
Kyurem White
- all other Ubers are tested

Oh now I get it; Pokemon like Glalie and Spinda are usable on every team. So its either Hyper Offensive or Hyper Defensive, I get it.

The key is not being either hyper off- or defensive. The key is building your team in such a way, that you can have every element in there. Making it a great way to test your teambuilding skills. Also, it is partially luck. If you face a defensive team with an offensive team, you're most likely in trouble!
