Five Haxmons Titans for the BW2 Haxmons Metagame
« on: September 26, 2013, 07:56:58 pm »
We all know this hasn't been around for all too long, still I think it has been played enough to get a sign of what mons are shaping the metagame and which stay behind.

You can all put in 10 Pokemon that you think are a titan
Every gets 1 vote then, the 5 with the most votes will become a titan.

My Votes:
Lucario (any good Haxmon player will see why this has influenced things :])
Omastar (people started to run more SE attacks for this thing as a few boosts on this meant that you'd get swept)
Starmie (this was the mon that caused people to start running lum berry, made people run sun or other ways of avoiding to be wrecked by this strong, fast status inducer with a good typing)
Shedinja (made Garchomp be used with Rough Skin, also made people run hazards for the first time)
Ninetales (caused sun to be a great playstyle, unlike normally, not filled with chlorophyll mons, but it supports by keeping freeze at bay, also gets 2 flinch moves and high speed which makes it all but useless)
Jolteon (not as great anymore, but at the early stages this was running around flinching everything, caused people to run priority and innerfocus/steadfast)
Scizor (has one of the strongest priority attacks in the game, demolishes everything that isn't insanely bulky AND resists it, made resists to steel critical and made the meta a bit more bulky)
Gengar probably one of the least influencing pokemon on this list, but it was great at getting free turns to demolish things on choiced fighting attacks, but I don't feel it has done that much and is about equal or maybe even lower than the "nearly" mons)
Toxicroak (it can beat a lot with it's many priority moves and free Life Orb, it's pretty much one of the few things that makes rain looks good (besides the newly discovered Kabutops) and it is pretty hard to beat if you don't have anything to take a hit, made the meta more bulky offensive like Scizor, but while it could switch moves it was weaker than Scizor and it's easier revenged by Espeed or faster priority, which it caused to be more used)
Conkeldurr (last but not least Conkeldurr, the motto is basically that you have to run a ghost type (or maybe crobat) to make sure this can't sweep you, this made Ghost Types WAY more popular than they were before, as they can check this while a lot can be fairly useful in other means)

Nearly made it:
Kangaskhan
Torterra
Dugtrio

My Personal top 5 (but this will come later, when we're gonna vote for them)
1. Lucario
2. Ninetales
3. Shedinja
4. Jolteon
5. Omastar

1. Lucario (you gonna have a hard time building a solid team without this guy)
2. Starmie (ice beam scarf, only beaten by scarf jolteon, ninetales or lum)
3. Shedinja (the days i got swept by snaq ffs)
4. Scizor (no-brainer)
5. ninetales (most important weather in meta setter, access to flinching, beating scizor, shedinja and lucario? gg)

mons:
lucario
starmie
shedina
scizor
ninetales
volcarona
omastar
politoed
dnite

sorry, but its really difficult to make a pick of ten, as you will need to pack some mediocre ones anyways... I'll get down to my list soon, just not when posting on 3ds.
I never knew how smart I was,
until I realised how dumb most other people tend to be.

i know, you just have to pick 10, a lot of them are good, but some really influenced the meta (jolteon), try to make your pick and we'll pick a top 5 later
