So this is the thread to post ideas about the hardmode gamemode I am making. Currently I like the idea of unlocking it after beating a specific point in the game, and starting over. For people that don't know, hardmode is a game mode where every trainer has a fully ev trained, perfect iv, competitively built (but not a full team, just a team that ignores stuff like rcok smash or bubble), enhanced AI team.

I don't know wether perfect IV is such a good idea, as that's extremely difficukt to get normally. I do however agree with the oerfect EV, and you coukd say, give the pokemons egg mives

maybe not competitive moves at the start, as I've tested it and moves like Fire Blast at the start of the game OHKO everything (tested with Happiny)

Ok hard mode:
All trainers 21 IVS
All Gym Leaders/Bosses/E4 29 IVS
All trainer's mons are 5 level higher then normal besides the beginning (no LVL 10 rival vs a level 5 mon)
so for the first route/city no difference second 3 level's higher then 5?

Well, I had somewhat of a notion of keeping your team when you start over, but everyone is level 100. And the reason for 31 ivs is that originally, it's basically little cup. Except you don't have a little cup team. My idea is to have it be hard in the way of I wanna be the guy :)

Everyone should have perfect EVs, perfect IVs and a much as possible type-covering moveset, except for the first few battles. It builds up a little bit. This Hardmode would be fcking awesome because you would have to grind and have to make decisions.

Hard= More paying for potions and stuff?
trainers who use items more efficiantly and stuff.

Yeah but then harder cause hard mode on b/w 2 was just changing it when you want to train lol.

I was thinking about making the Hardmode actually hard. Not "I wanna be the guy" hard, but pretty hard, e.g. good competitively build teams, higher IVs, better EVs, and more expensive Pokémart things.

Yeah, I suppose BW2 hardmode wasn't very hard, but fully competitive movesets in the first parts of the game with max EVs and IVs would make the game force ridiculous grinding until you can access good ways to EV train and build a real team.

That would mean: Catch a early mon use it instead of your starter till it's level +10 over the foe untill you starter can be ev trained never use that mon and train your starter sky-high then proceed :/
